Delegates participated in a button-pressing ceremony on September 14 to begin construction on a flyover at the North-South Railway crossing on National Highway 1A in Tam Diep town, northern Ninh Binh province.


The 12-month project will be implemented in two phases at a total cost of roughly VND484.3 billion (US$22.7 million), sourced from State funds for the expansion of National Highway 1A.

Work starts on Tam Diep railroad crossing flyover.

The reinforced concrete flyover spans 1.2 kilometres on National Highway 1A. It accommodates two-way traffic with four lanes, allowing vehicles to travel at a maximum speed of 60 kilometres per hour.

Once completed, the flyover is expected to relieve traffic congestion and ensure traffic safety at the Tam Diep railroad crossing.
